“Type of ” is formal, official, and usually used in written English.

“sort of” is informal, conversational, and not common in written communication.

“Kind of” is something in between the two.

Example:
A: How does it taste?
B: Somewhat like a raw mango
A: You mean it’s sour?
B: Sort of, but not exactly. (एक तरह से, कुछ कुछ , हाँ ऐसा ही समझो)

The doctor said “This type of behaviour is quite common among those who have had a deprived childhood”

The head master angrily asked the students “What kind of behaviour is this? I never expected this from you.”

kya ye sab ek durse ke jagah par use kiye ja sakte h?
No, not always. When wrongly used, it will appear odd, though grammatically it may be correct.
