Where were you left behind? I was waiting for you. You had phoned quite before a long time saying that you were coming. Where were you for so much time ?
Regards
Jagdish

Where were you held up?
I was waiting.
Your call came quite some time ago stating that you were coming.
Where were you held up for so much time?

Generally, I think, I agree with the earlier translations except….

“Your call came quite some time ago stating that you were coming.”
“would be” is better than “were”

“Where were you held up?”
I recommend “...have you been…” (particularly, if this conversation is at the moment of meeting)

(Opinions welcome)
