2) I inadvertently added it.
I normally talk that way in casual conversation. But that was not what was said in the typed chat session.
I am correcting this also by striking out “sit back”

If there is a question mark at the end, then “Do you know” is correct.
But if the sentence is “pata hai” then it could mean so many things.
mujhe pata ha, tujhe pata, hai, use pata hai,
But I suppose mujhe should be assumed here.
so “I know” is most probablly the correct translation.
But unless one knows the full context, one can’t be sure.
