Unlike some other forums, why don't we have any facility to upload avatar along with our screen? Moreover, our site doesn't even support the posting of photos.

I believe you can attach files to your postings here so long as the file size is less than 100k.But having an avatar is a good idea . I have seen it in other forums.
But, when most people here post anonymously, and are reluctant to even reveal their real names, will avatars be of any use?
Many members will borrow good looking faces and display them as avatars.
Anyway, I am agreeable to both, having an avatar facility and not having it if most of you don't prefer it.

We can have avatars and pictures and so on. There is no technical issue.In fact, few years ago, these forums used to have a way to provide a much more detailed profile page than you see now. Avatars and other information was included in it.
But what happened was that there were some people who would post inappropriate links in their profiles and so on.
We cannot allow spam here. And I am not sure pictures in profiles are necessary to make this an effective language support forum.

Thank you so much for supporting me. Nobody other than you could make out the point in suggesting to introduce/restore the above said facilities.
An avatar will help you find out your/a particular person's answer or answers easily - especially, the thread is very lengthy. Once you know how a person's avatar look, it is so easy to spot on his answers - in case you are more eager to know his/her version. "A picture is worth 1000 words"

It wouldn't be so easy in explaining the things if it weren't 'photo-posting'. Don't you think so?

The facility to post pictures is already there - you can attached pictures of up to a certain size.Thanks,
